research studies

Feeling altruistic? Want to get involved in a study? A study about meth, or maybe there's another drug you're struggling with? Participating in a research study can be a different way to approach your drug issues. In many cases you get paid for your time or receive free study medications and counseling.

Tweaker.org does not endorse or denounce any of these studies. Instead, we're offering information for you to explore.

Here are some current drug related studies in the SF area:

ADAPT: A study testing whether taking a medication-based treatment reduces meth use in people who actively use methamphetamine. Study includes medical management counseling. Eligible participants will be compensated for their time over the course of the study. To see if you are eligible, please call us at 415-437-6319.

Curb the Line: A study testing a medication to see if a medication (Lorcaserin) can help to reduce powdered and/or crack cocaine use in gay or bisexual men. Eligible participants will be compensated up to $439 over the course of the study. To see if you are eligible, please call us at 415.437.6314.
